Rise and Tread

Following are the norms for the size of rise and tread:

The following guidelines may be followed while deciding the size of rise and tread of a stair:

1. 400 mm < (Rise + Tread) < 450 mm
2. 580 mm < (Rise + Tread) < 630 mm
