Organizational factors
- Project management supports the review process by providing adequate resources for reviews throughout the development process.
- Formal reviews are planned well in advance and are organized with clear, verifiable objectives.
- Participants are given sufficient time to prepare for a review.
- In principle, all types of review (for example, checklist-based or role-based) are suitable for identifying defects in the review object. The most appropriate type can be selected based on the agreed objectives, the type and level of the investigated object, and the skills of the participants.
- Checklists cover the most important risks and are always up to date.
- Large-scale documents are reviewed in parts rather than as a whole so that defect feedback can be provided as quickly as possible to the authors.
