Infection detection sub-system

In this sub-system, the camera plays the main role. Pi activates the camera (Kaveeya et al. 2017a) at a specific time of the day. The camera captures the leaf images of the plant. It passes the captured image to the PC for classification. Whether the leaf is infected is checked in the PC using four-layer CNN. If it is infected, the leaf image is passed on to the gardener/farmer’s mobile phone. The gardener views the image and decides the pesticides to apply. If the leaf is not infected, the status of the infection alone will be passed on the mobile phone. Figure 12.8 shows the working principle of infection detection sub-system. The output of infection and intrusion detection is shown in Figure 12.9.
