This chapter presents the detection, diagnosis and identification of diseases in the paddy leaf. The suggested method can be followed at each step for the type of crop and its leaf. The most important task is extraction of the features of the leaf and doing further analysis. The classifier is used to set the tone for proper results. The classifier-based neural network is one of the best methods. The method described in this chapter can be applied in real-time applications. This system uses color-based segmentation. A lot of research is going on to detect infected crops automatically to get good yield.
