The major topics covered are: aerodynamics; airworthiness certification; design considerations/testing; design for safety; electrical and mechanical installations; electrical power systems; electromagnetic effects; flight crew systems interface; maintainability; regulatory requirements for aircraft certification; software; type certification; vibration, temperature and humidity; and loads and structures. Within each topic, real-world systems issues and problems are discussed and solutions presented from a systems engineering perspective, with emphasis on aircraft safety and performance.
