Rolling shutter consists of mild steel laths, 1.21 mm thick and 80 mm wide or as specified. The laths are machine rolled continuous strip with interlocking facility through the entire length. Such combined laths form a shutter.
The shutter is supported by means of spring barrel which in turn is supported by cast iron or steel brackets. The shutter slats shall coil round the spring board. Guide channels are provided on either side. The gap between the two legs of the guide channel shall be sufficient to allow the free movement of the shutter and at the same time close enough to prevent rattling of the shutter due to wind. The shutter shall operate easily and smoothly under all conditions. When rolled up open position is made. Locking facility is also provided.
