Long time exposure to adverse environment

No matter whether the sensors are electrified or not, if exposed to adverse environment for a long time, such as high humidity, high temperature or high pollution, it will affect the sensor performance badly.

Vibration

Continual vibration will result in sensors’ down-lead response then rupture. In transportation or assembling line, pneumatic screwdriver/ultrasonic welding machine can lead to this vibration.

Concussion

If sensors meet strong concussion, their lead wire may get disconnected.

 Usage

Sensor handling can be done either manually or using wave crest welding. To use wave crest welding, following points should be kept in mind.

  • Soldering flux: Rosin soldering flux contains least chlorine
  • Speed: 1–2 m/min
  • Warm-up temperature: 100 ± 20°C
  • Welding temperature: 250 ± 10°C times pass wave crest welding machine

If these conditions are not taken care of, then sensitivity of the sensor will be reduced.
