Smart farming includes the smart devices that are connected to the servers through a network. Smart farming increases the flexibility of agricultural operations through customer integration (Kamilaris et al., 2016). From the numerous benefits of smart farming, there are some unavoidable risks. As smart farming is dependent on information systems for sustainable development, hackers and other competitors are lusting after the intellectual property (Deloitte, 2016). Digitization and growing technology are creating opportunities for hackers and terrorists to cyberattack and physically attack over prohibited data and places. It is a big problem that cannot be ignored (Olcott, 2016). So, privacy and cyber security awareness must be created to avoid the risks in smart farming or agriculture sector.
