The term “Internet of Things” comprises the technology developed in 1999. After that IoT produced a lot of interest in various fields. It is expected that the number of things which are connected to IoT will grow from 20 billion in 2015 to an estimated 200 billion by 2020. In real life, things are connected to internet and data can transfer over the cloud. The design of IoT is shown in Figure 7.2. A number of functional blocks of IoT system are used to simplify several functions of the system like sensing, services, management and communication.
