Machine learning

Machine learning is a multidisciplinary field which is a combination of computer science and statistics, where it is mostly used for analysis and classification and performs the tasks that generally humans do. For that, we need to train the computer to solve real life problems with utmost accuracy. Machine learning can be used in different situations such as face analysis, computer games, information retrieval, stock market forecasting, computational biology, DNA microarray analysis for cancer classification, epileptic seizure detection, data centre optimization, automated text categorization, medical application and analysis of gene expression data. Roberto et al. (2008) deduced the face recognition algorithm with the help of machine learning. Figure 1.1 represents working model of machine learning.
